Payroll Administrator

SUMMARY:
A wholesale and retail company based in Germiston has a vacancy for a Payroll and HR Administrator.

POSITION INFO:

HR and Payroll Clerk

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain information on the payroll, Medical Aid, provident fund, savings
• Ensure timeous relevant payroll data received from internal and external parties
• Collect and verify time and attendance information (Mi time clocking Machine) and get them authorised before capturing
• Capturing of leave forms and ensuring all leaves are submitted on any absenteeism
• Monthly payroll processing on VIP
• Address Payroll queries correctly and on time
• Reconcile and prepare 3^rd party payments such as garnishees
• HR Administration, update and maintain records (soft and hard copies, record keeping and filling
• Act as a point of contact for HR related queries from employees
• Knowledge of the BBBEE and ISO Audit
• Compiling the WSP, ATR and EE Reports
• General admin and Reconciliations for Insurance, PAYE Recons, Provident and medical aid recons
• Payroll experience a must (preferably Sage Premier) for +- 40 Employees
• Processing Increases, earnings, deductions, perks tax, allowances, bonuses,
• Completion of UI 19 documents for terminated employees (resignations, retirements, death claims)
• Ensure all reports are sent to the Accountant to be reviewed prior to payment
  • Exporting of ACB report from VIP to sage pay/net cash to release employees’ salaries
  • Monthly salaries recon/journal and employee headcount reports
  • Online submission of UIF Declarations monthly
  • Submission of returns of earnings to Workman’s compensation annually
  • Submissions of TERS online to UIF for COVID-19 relief funds
  • Emailing and issuing of payslips to employees

Skills and Knowledge

• Diploma or Degree in HR or related
• 1-2 years’ experience in similar role
• VIP premier experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Solid computer literacy
• Ability of speak African language will be preferred
