About the Role:

Opportunity available for a Payroll Administrator to administer the payrolls of 3 hotels accurately (+/- 700 people) through VIP premier.

Requirements:

2 years payroll experience

Relevant Human Resources or Accounts qualification

HR/ IR experience as well as payroll as you’d work within the HR team and not accounts

Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook and Word

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and VIP Payroll

Experience with Time and Attendance software

Thorough understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act and other relevant labour legislation as well as Income Tax legislation

Highly presentable

Fluency in English essential

Fluency in Xhosa and/or Afrikaans advantageous

Previous experience in a Hotel environment advantageous

Exposure to NetTime Sheet advantageous

Fluency in Xhosa and/or Afrikaans

Experience with Trac-Tec staff shift management system advantageous

 

Duties:

Assisting the HR manager with Industrial relations

To administer all Africa payrolls

Processing all earnings, deductions, new employees & terminations on payroll

Processing all leave events on payroll

Reconciling leave on payroll with time register

Ensuring salaries are paid correctly and on time

Reconciling payroll and providing the HR department and Finance department with month-end reports

Managing employee profiles on Time Register

Liaising on behalf of the company and/or employees with 3rd parties (pension, medical aid, garnishees etc.)

Submitting Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) reports to the Department of Labour every month

Submitting South African Revenue Service (SARS) payments via eFiling every month

Making tax year-end (produce IRP5’s and IT3a’s) and mid-year tax submissions to the South African Revenue Services (SARS)

Completing and submitting Quarterly Stats SA reports

Completing and submitting Injury on duty documents to the Workman’s Compensation    

Offering a consultative service to managers on industrial relations matters

Representing the company at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) in the absence of the Human Resources Manager

EE Reporting

Tax Year-end

SARS and payroll declarations to the Department of labour

Workman’s compensation submissions – we do use a sub-contractor
