SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Officer for a permanent position based 70km outside of East London, Eastern Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with relevant Diploma or Certificate
5+ years’ experience independently managing payroll process & financial systems
Excellent computer proficiency (spreadsheets & databases)
Must have Pastel & VIP Payroll system practical experience
Transport is provided from a central point to and from the workplace, and therefore the candidate must be able to accommodate longer hours due to travel time
Good communication skills

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Manage payroll – review & capture time / attendance, overtime & leave
Calculate salaries, wages, allowances and overtime
Update salary schedules and submit time & attendance records to HR
Admin of time & attendance and pay scales of temporary employees
Manage UIF, PAYE, SDL, provident membership and administration & contributions
Handle garnishees, loans and other deductions
Recon of payments to finance
Maintain personnel information – electronic & on file
Control and manage stock in store
Assist with financial management & budgeting

Salary: R25 000.00 – R30 000.00 per month
