Payoll Administrator

Our client, a leading automotive conglomerate based in Johannesburg East, is looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator who knows how to keep payroll running like a well-serviced machine, accurate, compliant and always on time.

POSITION INFO:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Full payroll function
• Application for Tax Directives
• Completing Statutory returns and handling of statutory payments
• Completing of IRP 501 recons and year-end on Easyfile
• Staff queries
• Garnishees & maintenance Orders
• Handling administration of medical aid, provident and funeral funds
• Responsible for capturing employee data in respect of engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
• Reconciliations of medical aid, provident and other third- party payments
• Importing data
• Payroll variances
• Preparing payroll files for finance and producing reports for month-end
• Filing & Scanning

• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
• Tertiary qualification in accounting or payroll essential

• 5 to 6 years' experience in a Payroll Administrator position essential
• Sage working knowledge essential
• Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
• Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
• Deadline driven
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
• Team player
