Patrol Inspectors X 3 (Maseru)

Our Client is looking for Patrol Inspectors for supporting the control and quality assurance of dispatch products produced for Electrium Sales Ltd through product and process audit whilst ensuring compliance to the requirements of ISO9001 associated control systems and processes. Responsible for patrol quality inspection.

This position will report to the Quality Supervisor in Lesotho and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Patrol inspection of in-process product assembly, check components and products against drawings and work instructions.
• Regular audit ESL product assembly lines and initiate corrective action(s) with line manager and local quality supervision.
• Ensure local work instructions, make sure process control records and testing records are correct as part of regular audit.
• Complete “Hold” labels with relevant information, isolate product on hold effectively from good product.

Working with local quality management and line manager;

• Check products are made and tested to work instructions ensuring employees / operatives adhere to work instructions, policies and procedures.
• Check in-process Red scrap bins are in place and report excessive line rejects to local Quality team and line manager.
• Regularly check training records of operatives to perform assembly & test tasks per work instructions, etc., and that they are approved / signed off by local quality management.
• Ensure non-conforming product from the production line is quarantined and controlled by local quality team.

The minimum requirements for this position are:

• Grade 12 certificate
• 3 years in a production or QC environment, experience in the assembly of Wiring Accessory products.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Ability to understand component and product technical drawings.
• Problem solving and resolution analysis.
• Use of basic metrology equipment / QC instruments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 management system.
