SUMMARY:
Well known global organisation requires an experienced Business Parts Manager for Earth Moving Equipment.  A minimum of 8 years related experience in spare parts management and spare parts sales in a senior management position with a strong understanding of inventory control within the area of mining, construction or industrial spare parts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

NQF Level 6 qualification or similar is advantageous 
8 Years related experience in spare parts management and spare parts sales in a senior management position with a strong understanding of inventory control within the area of mining, construction or industrial spare parts.  You will be responsible for:
  • Strategic adjustments to maximise the return on sales on all parts sales.
  • Develops and executes customer participation agreement to ensure long-term customer business activities.
  • Oversees parts contracts / supply agreements in the initiation, negotiation and implementation phases.
  • Provides customers with commercial updates on supply agreements.
  • Develops and assist customers with KPA objectives and implementation
  • Ensures that effective communication channels are maintained between parts and all other relevant operational department.
  • Ensures that the maximum result of 3 stars is achieved during the annual parts excellence.
  • Developing and maintaining parts-related policies and procedures and ensuring that all procedures are adhered to.
  • Monthly reporting and analysis on KOPIs, forecasted targets and specific business objectives related to Parts.
  • Assisting and providing information to HR on employee work hour calculations for hr shared / global parts department.
  • Able to build, run and maintain the parts team in long run
  • Develops and oversees processes and systems to minimise overstocked inventory, to remove absolute/redundant inventory, to optimise new inventory stockholding
  • Maximises stock turn and fill rates while minimising inventory value
  • Create and periodically updates the projected parts sales forecast based on historic performance, projected machine sales and projected economic developments
  • Meets with clients, various branches and third-party representatives on a regular basis to address any parts related issues
  • Implements, drives and observes the Core Values of the company as well as any other company policies, procedures, guidelines and directives.
  • Develops and implements measures to intensity parts marketing
  • Supplies the factories with local pricing information
  • Assists the sales Department(s) with tenders, contracts and inquires
  • Assists Service Department to ensure timely turnaround of parts required for internal and external jobs
  • Reports on including, but not limited to KPAs, WIP. Inventory levels, quotes, sales and credits on a regular basis
  • Ability to delegate tasks and to control the performance as well as micromanagement capability as and when required
  • Ability to identify problems and/or problematic areas and to put measures in place to solve them without delay
  • Ability to identify, to build and to exploit new business opportunity
Experience in working with sales and stock management systems, such as SAP, Baan, Oracle or others is essential
Strategic adjustments to maximise the return on sales on all parts sales
Strategic thinking with clear view and interpretation of the realities of the market and the prevailing economic situation
The position will require traveling in Sub-Saharan Africa as well as to the factories in Europe and the USA
Physically fit individual required
