The Role
Working as a Paraplanner from the Port Elizabeth offices, you will provide critical technical support to our team of Certified Financial Planners, transforming complex client data into comprehensive financial strategies. This is an office-based position focused purely on technical planning excellence (no sales or marketing responsibilities).
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and analyse client financial data to develop detailed financial plans
- Create tailored investment strategies aligned with client goals and risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for high-net-worth clients
- Research financial products and ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, and FSCA regulations
- Utilise X-Plan software to deliver accurate planning outputs
- Collaborate with advisors to strengthen financial planning deliverables
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards
Essential Requirements:
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation–non–negotiable
- 3-5 years of relevant paraplanning experience
- Proficiency in X-Plan software
- Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent report writing abilities
- Sound knowledge of financial planning principles, investments, and regulatory compliance
- Self-confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Superior organisational and time-management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:- Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning or related field
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals
- Familiarity with corporate banking relationships and investment platforms
