POSITION INFO:

My client in the Midlands are looking for suitably qualified persons for the position of Pan Boiler in the Manufacturing Department. The position reports to the Production Shift Foreman: Raw House –Back End. .

The successful incumbent will be responsible for the below.

Key performance areas

• Operating/controlling batch and continuous vacuum pans for the recovery of sugar from syrup and molasses.

• Must be able to do calculations and read graphs.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.

• Required to work on shift basis.

• NOSA Safety and ISO Quality Awareness and FSSC 22000.

• Good communication skills and pro-activeness.

• Ability to embrace and implement the Continuous Improvement process.

• Ensure that the RAW house is kept safe, clean and tidy.

Minimum specifications/requirements:

• Must have completed Grade 12

• Should have completed the 2 year Trainee Pan Boiler Programme

• 3-5 years experience in Pan Boiling

• Require a minimum of 3-5 years'' experience in a sugar manufacturing environment
