Job Position: Paint Setter – automotive industry (Equity)

Location: Port Elizabeth

Salary:  R26 000 per month commensurate with experience

Qualifications / Requirements

• Urgently seeking a candidate who is a Qualified Electrician with PLC knowledge
• Has S1 / S2 qualifications
• Automotive paint setter experience
• Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Trade tested Electrician
• Experience in a similar role (automotive paint setting)
• Good communication, organizational and analytical skills
• Valid drivers license and own transport essential
• Computer literate
• Good knowledge of Total Preventative Maintenance
• Possess sound mechanical / electrical knowledge
• Ability to work weekends, overtime and public holidays
• Good knowledge of quality systems

 

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintain all paint processes including equipment, thermal oxidizers, air supply units, conveyor, dry scrubber etc
• Verify and maintain process parameters to master data
• Maintain conveyor technology
• Maintain process technology
• Perform production maintenance during production
• Responsible for production preventative maintenance on machinery and all safety related equipment
• Ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to
• Document all process parameters and report out of control conditions
• Complete base coat stoppages timeously and accurately
• Start-up and process verification
• Review quality of parts on shift and implement corrective measures
• Complete accurate shift handovers and breakdown reports
