JOB DESCRIPTION:

To ensure that the shift team are efficiently and effectively supervised in order to meet production objectives from a quantity and quality perspective within the appropriate time scales and following the agreed standards. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12
  • Matric
  • Previous Supervisory experience in a similar environment
  • Understanding of the production functions and processes and how these work together
  • A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience
  • Flexile to working shifts
  • Industry experience will be advantageous.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verifying the ready to pack totals at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Timeous reporting of faults or maintenance required must be evident with a proactive stance
  • Ensure that labels are printed, checked and available on time
  • line clearances and follow up on metal checks
  • Ensure that all inserts issued to the shifts must be check and verified as per the insert procedures
  • Ensure all relevant works orders are closed timeously and production reports are completed are as per management requirements
  • Ensure that all iComply checks are completed timeously and accurately 100% of the time
  • Adherence to HACCP & AIB standards timeously and accurately to ensure accreditation is achieved
  • Attending to staff performance and conduct issues as they arise in an appropriate and acceptable manner
  • Ensuring that employees are motivated to perform their duties and managed accordingly
  • Health and Safety
