Packhouse Manager (Citrus Division)

We are currently seeking a hands-on Packhouse Manager to join our clients successful team based in Burgersfort, Limpopo. The candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of the packhouse in order to meet production targets. 

Duties will include:

• Ensuring that all production targets are met, and clients’ orders are processed on time as per their specifications.
• Control wastage in terms of labor and raw materials
• Maintain the productivity index.
• Maintenance Management
• Managing, and enhancing the performance of the multi-cultural packhouse team.
• Production inputs and outputs
• HR / Industrial Relations
• Ensure there is continuous improvement of productivity by building strong teams and promoting teamwork at the packhouse and other departments.
• Analyze and report on production and financial data. 

Requirements

• Matric Certification
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in citrus packhouse operation with a focus on export''s
• Proven MS Office proficiency (MS Word; MS Excel; MS PowerPoint; MS SharePoint)
• In-depth knowledge of all pack house practices.
• Sound knowledge of supply chain software
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. Global Gap, Tesco Nurture, HACCP, etc.
• Understanding of production processes and equipment
• Previous experience in managing and developing a multi-cultural team.
• A sound understanding of health and safety and quality management.
• Report writing skills.
• A degree or related trade qualification in Agriculture / Business Management/ Engineering or Industrial Engineering will be an advantage but is not essential.
