Packaging Coordinator Manufacturing - eThekwini | Durban
Salary: Market Related, Depending on experience
Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Packing Coordinator for the Packaging Planning Department for a Manufacturing concern based in Pinetown surrounds, eThekwini, Durban Kwazulu Natal. This is a permanent position, experience in a large, high pressurised environment essential.
Job Summary:
Planning as per norms, quality awareness, safety, inventory control, indents, export planning. stuffing plans, quality alerts and capa. stock control. Bonfanti operations, inventory control, labour control.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Packing and Warehouse coordination in a food/perishable’s environment
- Must have own reliable transport
- Be prepared to work overtime when requested
Key Performance Areas:
- Coordinate everyday activities to ensure fulfilment of production targets
- Coordinate with export mkt and slitter production team
- Coordinate export stuffing plan as per mkt requirement
- Packed Production as per Target and meet QA requirements
- Pack materials consumption as per the packing plan
- SHE conditions in the packing department are assured
- Efficient use of Return material.
- Non-stock /Stock Material indent
- Monthly report prepared and submit every month
- Address NCR as per CAPA requirements
- Maintain IMS documentation
- Maintain all TQM and TIE Boards/Lead TIE activity
- Maintain Inventory levels
- 5S and kaizen
- Complete orders daily
- WIP and Packing inventory is accurate vs the Oracle system
- Knowledge of BONFANTI operations, strapping, wrapping, labeling etc.
- follow work instruction in line with SOP
- Bonfanti troubleshooting

- Food production compliance, Strong planning background. Inventory control.
- Manage / dedicate / assign tasks to shift planners
