Job Description

Reporting to the Property Manager. You will be required to:

• Undertake or oversee bi-monthly room inspections to ensure that the maintenance and hygiene levels in the building are adhered to.
• Be a custodian of the Master Key
• Ensure that the building is well maintained.
• Manage a maintenance team that will report to you and that you will oversee.

The following aspects cover the maintenance:

• Maintenance in tenant rooms
• General building maintenance in common areas
• Heat Pumps, Generator,  and Lifts
• CCTV and bio-metric access system
• Air-Conditioning;
• Parking access control
• Fire detection and safety
• Plumbing and sanitation
• Water purification
• Water supply – both hot and cold water
• Pumps and water reticulation system
• Pest Control, Electrical, Windows, Lights and Laundry

Qualifications

• Matric
• Electrical qualification an advantage

Skills

• Microsoft Office
• 6-7 years experience in maintenance management for student accommodation experience
