This Professional Quantity Surveying Consulting firm undertakes commercial, retail and residential projects.

Job Description

 

Reporting to the Director, you will be required to:

• Assist, Oversee and prepare Estimates, BOQ’s and Payment Valuations.
• Attend client, progress and site meetings.
• Signing off QS related documentation.
• Mentoring of junior staff (Junior QS / Candidate QS).
• Preparing tender documents (JBCC, GCC Agreements), including a Bill of Quantities.
• Prepare and analyse costing for tenders considering plans and using best available price.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and manage variations (including claims for extensions of time).
• Produce periodic detailed project progress reports and analyse project outcomes relative to project plan including cost reports, cash flow reports and variation orders.
• Attend tender briefing meetings.
• Comply with internal policies, procedures, systems and controls.

 

Qualifications

 

• BSc /BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying
• Must be Registered as a PrQS with the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS)
