PROJECT MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily programme management support services which include administration, monitoring, liaising and reporting with regards to the execution of projects within the Programme and Fund Management Portfolio.

POSITION INFO:

Administer and Manage Projects

• Plan and schedule Project Plan according to approved Project deliverables
• Confirm project plans, activities, milestones and dependencies.
• Ensure that quality of the project deliverables conform to company policies and project specification.
• Facilitate project initiation management processes.
• Monitor and manage the risk related to projects implementation by conducting site inspections
• Monitor programme governance and best practices
• Identify project areas that require intervention by analysing trends in project implementation and contractor behaviour
• Monitor compliance to approved budgets and time frames
• Monitor and follow up on action plans and interventions approved by the Programme Manager regarding the risk profile of the project
• Manage the communication strategy of the project
• Reconcile project milestones with budgets
• Comply with all aspects of the programme, funding and paymaster agreements
• Provide inputs and recommendations for project committee meetings
• Manage project closure process
• Monitor and report on contractor development
• Monitor fulfilment of tasks and milestones in accordance with programme schedules 
• Complete all project documentation for project assessment and quality of work executed to project specification and submit to Project manager periodically. 
• Develop and propose non-compliance corrective action plans 
• Update project plan with approved scope changes 
• Expedite communication of non-compliance to the contractors 
• Implement monitoring and performance assessment tools to measure performance on deliverables. 
• Compile and Submit reports on non-compliance and deviations
• Verify the accuracy of project progress information 
• Compile monthly, and quarterly reports 
• Assist with compiling funder and stakeholder reports

• Prepare budget line items and objectives in line with the Project deliverables 
• Analyse and collate cost estimates and fee income aligned with individual Project objectives 
• Establish and communicate guidelines to service providers and vendors 
• Forecast and plan in anticipation for any potential delays and contingencies 
• Leverage funding contractors and other revenue streams 
• Analyse and interpret profitability factors as it relates to the achievement of the project individual objectives and deliverables. 
• Assist with compiling the budgets, outputs and cash flows 
• Monitor the expenditure and output budgets 
• Compile achievement of outputs and outcomes

Qualifications Minimum Requirement:

• National Diploma (T N/S stream) or appropriate N6 qualification in the Built Environment Preferred Requirement:
• Appropriate apprenticeship trade test, artisan certificate or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience Minimum Requirement:
• 5 years’ post-qualification experience in building regulations and quality standards for human settlements Preferred Requirement:
• Experience in site and quality management
