POSITION INFO:

MILLING SHIFT SUPERVISOR PRODUCTION – KWAZULU NATAL

(specifically have feed milling or food industry experience)

 ESSENTIALS FOR THE ROLE

• Matric / Grade 12
• Production or Supervisory related qualification adv
• Valid Code 08/EB driver’s license
• 3 Years’ experience as Production Supervisor in a manufacturing & milling environment ESSENTIAL
• Speak, read and write English fluently, Afrikaans is adv.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word & MS Outlook
• Experience in supervising a team of more than 10 staff
• Positive, pro-active, results-driven attitude
• Committed, dedicated, motivated
• Energy, drive, courage and tenacity
• Required to work with minimum supervision
• Long hours and overtime when necessary
• Dusty environment

KPA’S

To oversee and manage the shift process, which includes HR, quality, safety, risk, environment, admin & ops & smooth running of the mill so that clients receive quality feed, on time, in a cost effective way.

Managing and Supervising staff and their workload

Administer and coordination of raw material and finished product

Managing and coordination of loads and trucks

Implement and management of Housekeeping

Maintaining of equipment and machinery e.g. Ensure calibrations check on scales & weighbridge scales, are done; Basic maintenance & troubleshooting on machinery & plant to avoid call outs for small issues etc

Administration and coordination of stock and implementation of Shift admin
