SUMMARY:
Production Purchaser / Stock Controller / Planner required for busy clothing manufacturer based in Westmead, Pinetown.
POSITION INFO:
Must possess the following skills:
- Experience with purchasing using Pastel and stock control using Excel / inventory system.
- Purchasing Locally and overseeing importation of materials.
- Ensuring orders are received timeously
- Project Management to implement and follow through and using project management software to oversee production relating to purchasing
- Knowledge of trims and all components relating to clothing
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel for reporting and monitoring
- Overseeing Stock Control ( including Goods received, goods being returned )
- Overseeing Dispatch
- Ensure ISO standards are maintained
- Assisting with Tenders by sourcing material and the like
- Embroidery reports
- Good negotiation skills to manage and negotiate the best pricing with suppliers
- Control / Management of inventory-raw materials and finished goods ensuring stock is monitored and recorded daily
- Cost analysis of all orders
- Updating of costings
Responsibilities include:
- Production planning meetings held every morning. All purchasing and stock to be updated before every meeting to provide feedback to the Production Supervisor
- Work closely with the production Supervisor with regards to all purchases required for works orders and stock management
- To keep an updated inventory of stock levels for efficient service to Customers
- Be able to provide Operations Manager daily updates on all purchases and stock
This position requires someone who is extremely organized, used his / her initiative, excellent computer skills for reporting and good communication skills. The person in this role must be hands on and possess brilliant analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.

Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 07h30 – 16h30
Friday: 07h30 – 15h00
Saturdays – Whilst the admin staff don’t generally work on a Saturday, this may be required from time to time should the workload demand require this and stock take is generally done on a Saturday, once a month.
Remuneration:
The position is a Full time position, Remuneration R12 000 – R16 000 per month ( experience dependant )
