SUMMARY:
PRODUCTION PLANNER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Germiston
The Planner will be responsible for short- and long-term production planning of the billet saws and forge machines as well as additional duties as assigned. This will include:

Control the steel in the yard and on the excel data base.
Create production orders on Syspro.
Create routing cards from excel data base
Issue routing cards on Syspro
Receive and despatch steel into storage areas
Scrap management
Round bars management
Purchasing of raw materials
Balance the Kardex report and the steel stock database at the end of each month
Monthly, mid- year and end of the year stock take
Set daily priorities for the allocated production line
Monthly production plan of the allocated production line
Report on productivity daily and monthly
Report on delays, productivity issues daily

Minimum requirements

Industrial Engineering diploma / degree
High skills in numeracy
Must be a team player
Strongly computer literate

Skills and experience

Strong planning skills and good analytical skill
Applicants are expected to have at least 1 to 2 years experience in a production environment.
