SUMMARY:
Production, management and maintenance of a specialized chemical product plant

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

MANNING

Allocation personnel and responsibilities and management thereof

MATERIAL

Ensure plant set up as follows:
Chemical and additive tanks are full and have sufficient material for production run
Correct paper width is loaded onto the plant as per production plan
Ensure sufficient product space prior to start up
Ensure plant is set for run as per production plan
Calculate chemical consumption and input
Ensure plant is in sound mechanical working order according to daily & weekly maintenance service check lists
Report all non-conformances

MEASUREMENT

Testing of product runs
Sample & quality checks as per national quality reports
Weekly quality report
Daily stock level report
Weekly supply of chemicals to plant
Oversee box plant production
Weekly cycle counts.

METHOD

Pre-start check lists done and signed off
Housekeeping
Ensure the plant is well maintained

Qualifications and experience:

Grade 12
Trade tested Millwright or Fitter or Electrician
Production Diploma/Degree advantageous
Computer Literate
At least 10 years’ manufacturing experience
Must have own reliable transport

R40000, Benefits
