POSITION INFO:

PROCESS ENGINEER – DURBAN – R450K P/A

BSc Chemical Engineering Degree + 2 – 5 years experience in analytical & problem solving field or disciplines – chemical/manufacturing / FMCG. Good understanding of process related to fermentation / distilling  industry Lean Manufacturing TPM or 6 Sigma. Investigate & Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiencies & plant output. Support & Colloborate with Ops team members & provide technical support to key customers. Responsible for Hazardous Chemical Substances Regulations. Improvement Projects – Identify at meetings, Implement Six Sigma Methodology for improvement, Participate & Lead HAZOP & HACCP studies. Ensure all documentation provided & updated at completion of project. Ensure all relevant plant staff are trained in new process following project changes. Conduct Mass & Energy balances & analyse information to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.  Must have expert knowledge of all plant processes, identify recurring troublesome production problems. Assist production to resolve processing challenges, train technicians in process operation & good communication & collaboration skills. Plant variable costs – monitor, recommend & implement changes.
