Process control manager for Steel mill - Mandini KwaZulu Natal - Negotiable

Global Market Leader in high performance steel industry who deliver customized customer specific solutions seek an In-charge Process control SMS-CCM to be responsible for critical process parameters monitoring and controlling, Improving process to for consistency at much higher production level. Corrective and Preventive actions for main process issues. B.E/Degree in process Metallurgy. Minimum 5 Years work experience

Accountabilities:

• To monitor critical process parameters, online trends in SMS process on daily basis.
• To monitor critical process parameters, online trends in CCM process on daily basis.
• Follow up and monitoring the process deviations which effect internal and external quality of product.
• Timely solution of process deviations in association with Maintenance, operation and quality team.
• To assist Steel Making Plant HOD in all process related to SMS-CCM to ensure smooth plant operations are carried out in a timely manner to achieve corporate goals in association with EAF/LF/CCM.
• Works to ensure conformance to Rolling Mill satisfaction.
• Developing of new processes/Materials/Methods/Procedures to continuously improve production efficiency.
• Analysis of quality deviation related problems and propose proper solutions to avoid deviations.
• Continual improvement in parameters settings for higher productivity,
• To impart knowledge building trainings to sub ordinates so that overall growth of the section is ensured.
• Develops/ revise work instruction and operational standards and ensures that all employees within the section adhere to the work instructions to guarantee a quality job.
  Responsible for resolving any critical technical/logistic problem related to the SMS-CCM section.
  Develop suppliers SMS-CCM for new materials to improve quality and reduced production cost.
• To achieve monthly production target with Zero defect.
• Achieve Production targets with high productivity.
• Comply with international standard certificates.
• Testing and establishment of new process standards/materials/methods.
• Process controlling parameters and cause of deviations to be identified and rectified.
• Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure identify the root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand
• Directly involve in identification of process deviations and discuss with SMS/ CCM / Maintenance and Quality In charge to controlling the process.
