Our client, a Global Private Equity firm is currently looking to appoint an in-house Fund Accountant to manage multiple tasks in relation to fund accounts including managing the outsourced fund administrator and depositary to ensure delivery in terms of the services agreement whilst ensuring accurate and timely reporting to investors. 

One would describe you as a results orientated and deadline driven individual who thrives in a fast paced setting and works with a sense of urgency.

You are highly analytical, possessing strong MS Excel and accounting skills, solid communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Review fund closing workings and income calculations and manage debtors aging
• Determine investor allocation 
• Manage payment process 
• Review and finalisation of reporting packs, annual financial statements, and governance reports and other management information
• Maintain Fund Model 
• Banking & treasury
• VAT/Corporate Tax compliance
• Manage external audit
• Keeping abreast of industry development/technologies
• Execution of ad hoc projects

Qualifications and experience required:

• CA(SA) qualification OR similar with 2-4 years fund accounting experience gained within the financial services / investment / fund administration / asset management sector
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe PDF
• Strong knowledge of complex accounting standards would be a distinct advantage
