SUMMARY:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: The ideal candidate has a Higher Diploma in marketing. Strong written, editing and verbal communication skills and strict attention to detail is imperative. Must be able to use good judgment and work independently within a dynamic, team-based environment with solid time-management and organization skills.
POSITION INFO:
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To ensure that relevant media remains aware of developments involving and influencing the Group brand portfolio. The oversight, coordination and monitoring of all company sponsored athletes, endorsed artists, properties and initiatives. To generate publicity and enhance relationships in support of marketing efforts and activities. Copywriting.
REPORTS TO: Marketing Operations Manager
EXTERNAL INTERACTION (information, support, advice, persuasion/ negotiation): Suppliers, Dealers, customers, media: exchange of information, persuasion and negotiation, endorsed artists and athletes, sponsored properties and initiatives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM ROLE: Diploma in Marketing / Degree in Communications / Public Relations / Journalism
MINIMUM PERIOD OF EXPERIENCE/ TRAINING (DESCRIBE TYPICAL EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND): 1 year in endorsee/athlete management role - 1 year in a PR/Media related role
