PLC Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client is based in Uitenhage and looking for a x2 PLC Technicians.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance work according to company and industry standards. 
• Active participation in projects focussed on improvements of machinery and processes. 
• Perform programming tasks as assigned. 
• Complete documentation as required and train maintenance personnel, sharing acquired knowledge. 
• Document anomalies and changes. 
• Generate Work Reports. 
• Request necessary material resources. 
• PLC stand in shift position. 
• Carry out instructions given by Supervisor. 
• Ensure up time is at correct level. 
• Attend to breakdowns timeously and report all out of control conditions. 
• Liaise with production and other service departments on problem solving and fault finding on PLC/Electrical Systems. 
• Adhere to all Safety Requirements at all times throughout facility.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• N6 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Qualification. 
• Trade Tested Electrician with excellent proven PLC (Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley) experience (including programming). 
• Minimum 5-10 years experience within a high production demand automotive manufacturing plant. 
• Computer literacy, problem solving, analytical and good communication skills. 
• A team player. 
• Willing to work rotating shifts and flexible hours, as needed.
