SUMMARY:
Our client based in Bedfordview is looking for a PI and Liability Manager, as well as a Senior PI and Liability Underwriter to join their dynamic team immediately

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience and education
 FAIS compliant with all relevant qualifications.
  • RE 5 not negotiable
  • Able to work in Bedfordview
  • Must have PI & Liability experience. Full scope from marketing, quoting, underwriting, processing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience

  • Major Responsibilities
    • Knowledge and experience of Underwriting, Processing and Marketing of PI & Liability products.
    • Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Company by providing excellent service and maintaining and growing relationships.
    • Ensuring that turnaround times are adhered.
    • Ensure at all times resourcing is effectively and efficiently in place to service the work load.
    • Manage and Organize day to day operations by establishing priorities to ensure standards are maintained in the departments.
    • Controlling of registers and authorizations.
    • Ensuring the placement of Facultative reinsurance and co-insurance.
    • Renewal and new business processing and issuing of Quotations.
    • Ensure all Renewal & Renewal Invites are done timeously.
    • Handling queries from various departments, including brokers.
    • Cancellation of policies.
    • General correspondence with broker via e-mail or telephone.
    • Diarize issues that need to be followed up.
    • Develop relationships with brokers and ensure high level of service.
    • Assist with streamlining processes in the departments.
    • Assist with underwriting queries internal and external and assist them technically.
    • Ensure staff know and comply with the PI & Liability Treaty arrangement.
    • Ensure all risks are written within our Treaty limits.
    • Perform all other functions as required or requested within reason from time to time.
     
    Management
     
    • Supervision and training of staff.
    • Oversee the development needs of staff.
    • Set key performance deliverables; allocate work and responsibilities, measure performance.
    • Ensure delivery of best practice.
    • Drive improvement.
    • Find innovative ways to improve the overall processes.
    • Motivate, coach, and develop staff to maximise potential and develop desired organisational culture and succession plan.
