PHC Registered Nurse

SUMMARY:
Eastrand Medical / Health company looking for a PHC Reg Nurse with Dispensing Lic and PHC Qualification / Experience

POSITION INFO:

The incumbent will be responsible for consulting with members to establish diagnosis and treat clients/members accordingly. As well as providing best clinical practice and quality healthcare to members.

• Tasks/Activities

  Determine appropriate treatment once diagnosed

  • Action cases sent to Medical Consultant within the SLA

  • Evaluate patients e.g. record consultation, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

  • Minimize GP referrals

  • Encourage appropriately OTC utilization

  • Deliver appropriate information to healthcare users

  • Explain potential side effects of medication

  • Provide patients with information and advice on prescribed over the counter medication.

   

  Perform administrative duties

  • Improve areas identified by the QA team

  • Continue with CPD

  • Keep accurate records of activities and actions

   

  Essential Qualifications

  • Nursing Diploma/Degree

  • Primary Health Care

  • Registered with SANC / HPCSA

  • Dispensing license

  • Drivers License

   

  Essential Experience

  • Experience in clinical evaluation of patients signs and symptoms

  • Experience in providing prescriptions

  • Primary Health care experience

  •  Work within professional code as requlated by the SANC / HPCSA
