PDA Supervisor – Client Care

SUMMARY:

To manage the team of PDA and DebiCheck clerks ensuring that time lines are maintained and that queues relating to suspensions, exceptions, rejections, DebiCheck authentications, etc. are attended to on a daily basis.

POSITION INFO:

Ensuring that the PDA team controls, monitors, follow up and interact with consumers to continuously improve the take up rate of DebiCheck transactions and to report such to Line management on a weekly and monthly basis.

Where re-instating any Debt Order ensure that the correct signed Mandate has been provided by the consumer and filed on the system.

Plan and implement a strategy to improve slow payment months such as April, June and in particular December and January.

Updating repayment plans in respect of any paid-up letter received or unpaid recorded or payment arrangement made or file that was rejected by the PDA.

To report on the payment success rates of the various collection methods available via the PDA

A good knowledge of the Debt Review process and Task Team Agreement is necessary as well as an in-depth knowledge of the various repayment plans, the importance of first payment dates and PDA submission dates. In addition, an understanding of how a PDA works, the various mandates, reports and queues is essential.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with the PDA staff and management

Main Responsibilities

To manage the PDA team and ensure that:

• • Staff meet the turnaround and Task Team Agreement agreed time frames set by the PDA and/or Line Management.
  • Where plans have been rejected or suspended by the PDA that the plans are corrected and resubmitted to the PDA.
  • Where there is a requirement to submit a Mandate with the plan that this is provided to the PDA and where a newly signed Mandate is required to obtain such Mandate from the Client, file the Mandate and submit same to the PDA.
  • Where the consumer has disputed a Debit Order and where the PDA has suffered a loss, to ensure that either the consumer authenticates a DebiCheck electronic debit order or another collection method is put in place (EFT)
  • All the related PDA queues are managed daily and processed within time frames.
  • Assistance is provided to all staff within the organisation, especially collections.
  • All paid up letters are processed timeously and that the required changes are made to the repayment plan to ensure compliance with accepted proposals and/or Court orders and that such plan is submitted to the PDA.
  • Outstanding Debt Counselling and/or Legal fees are given priority in terms of any new submission of any repayment plan to the PDA.
  • Consumers be enlightened and encouraged to authenticate DebiCheck transactions at every opportunity.
