PACKAGING DESIGNER - RETAIL CAPE TOWN

Introduction:

Our client is looking for an experienced senior Designer in the beauty field to work accross some well-known beauty brands.  

Striong idea of generation and ability to see concept through to in-store and above the line platform, bringing innovation to your design proposal, is a must.  A proven track experience in this field is issential. This role reports to the Marketing Creative MAnager and based at Head Office, Cape Town.

• Drive and elevate the brand with great conceptual thinking and output abilities
• Deliver the best creative solutions for in-store and print material.
• Conceptualise 360 comapigsn and design with all creative touch points in mind.
• This role includes work on other company brands and marketing material, design campaigns, press ads and other brands that need development, rollout and presentation.

Objectives:

• To interpret briefs from marketing and the buying teams to best creative solutions.
• Conceptualisation and brainstorming of new compaigns.
• Creative outstanding design ideas, POS design innovation and implementation of design into solutions, & repro of own work.
• Roll out Conceptual campaigns across print, POS and digital.
• Adhere to all brand guildelines and CI.
• Know how and abreast of competitor retail trends focussing in the beauty sector.
• Excellent eye for detail and the ability to co-create int eh beauty space.
• Immaculate attention to detail and ability to problme solve and multitask in a competitive retail space.
• To efficently manage and check own artwork.
• To participate in brainstorming sessions accross the department.
• Assit with Ad hoc presentation files.

Education and requirements:

• A Degree or diploma in graphic design
• Proficient in Adobe creative skills
• 5 years design experience within a relavant agency
• Beauty Brand experience is advantageous
• Layout and Point of Sale design experience beneficial
