National Diploma in Purchasing and Matric (with Maths)
Sound Knowledge of MRP II and JDEdwards. (Action lists, order release, updating information)

POSITION INFO:
Key Performance Areas
• Engage with new suppliers and negotiate Vendor terms. (New creditor, RFQ’s, Payment terms)
• Engage with Engineering department for all ECN and Bom requirements.
• Analyze JDEdwards MRP results (action lists/messages) and take the necessary actions.
• Raise orders and send to the supplier timeously.
• Supplier management of deliveries, invoices, payment requests and day to day queries.
• Monitor quality of deliveries through the quality reports.
• Ensure supplier conformance to internal PPM targets.
• Ensure deliveries meet required in store dates.
• Analyze shortages and report on a weekly basis.
• Negotiate Price Change Notifications and achieve material reductions.
• Manage VAVE activities with suppliers to ensure savings.
• Reduce company inventory days in line with company objectives.
• Ensure best shipping terms and shipping methodology is used.
• Monitor shipments and lead times.
Minimum Criteria Required
• National Diploma in Purchasing and Matric (with Maths)
• 5 years’ buying environment including Production Planning
• Computer literate essential (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Sound Knowledge of MRP II and JDEdwards. (Action lists, order release, updating information)
• Sound knowledge of Freight Forwarding and shipping terms and documents • Sound understanding of Customs and Excise
• JDE purchasing module
• Driver’s License
