Orthopaedic Sales Consultant - Trauma

POSITION INFO:

We have a vacancy for a passionate, energetic and performance driven Orthopedic Sales Representative in Durban

The successful candidate will be responsible for the promotion and sales of a specific Orthopaedic Trauma product range to Orthopedic Surgeons and Operating room theatre staff. The continuing education in the correct application and usage of these products in the sales territory allocated to the incumbent is paramount.
You will need to be technically competent and aware of what their competitors are doing to ensure that they maintain the competitive edge. You will be required to attend cases on a call out basis.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The successful incumbent will be responsible to achieve, maintain and exceed sales targets through successful sales strategies and account management. Moreover, the incumbent must ensure growth of his/her sales territory.

THE KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS ASSOCIATED TO THE POSITION WILL INCLUDE:

• Sales, Marketing and Business Development
• Maintaining relationships with customers
• Product knowledge and coaching
• Stock Control
• Administration and Reports
• Meetings and additional responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Orthopaedic Sales role; alternatively
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a medical sales role with biokinetic background.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12.
• Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree in Human Movement Science.
