To develop, maintain and support information technology (IT) integration solutions to meet the business needs within the company

POSITION INFO:
JOB DESCRIPTION

• Define own work plan and deliverables with guidance from the team leader and in alignment with the departmental and functional work plans.
• Conduct analysis of, and design or architect, quality IT solutions according to approved business requirements and in line with governance frameworks.
• Deliver quality IT solutions through development, integration, testing and deployment according to the approved design specification and within agreed timelines.
• Ensure the total quality of an IT solution by contributing to the compilation of standards, improving processes, and ensuring that the approved standards and processes are followed.
• Consistently provide IT solution maintenance and support in the designated area, thereby ensuring business continuity, in line with the agreed service standards.
• Keep abreast of developments in information and communication technology (ICT) trends and within own specialised area of technology in order to develop and design the most appropriate IT solution within own area of responsibility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Business Administration or Commerce, or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification; and
• A minimum of five to eight years of working experience as an Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) developer in a project and support environment.

  

The required job-related skills include the following:

• experience with Oracle reports, XML Publisher, Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher, Workflow Builder, Approvals Management Engine (AME), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), Apex, Custom.pll, forms personalisation and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) development;
• advanced skills in PL/SQL development;
• development experience on all Oracle e-Business suite modules (version 12.2.8 and higher); and
• experience with Oracle EBS Open Interfaces, Application Programming Interfaces (API’s), Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interface (RESTAPI’s) and data conversions.
