Operations Warehouse Controller (Bloemfontein)
One of our clients based in Bloemfontein , Dynamic, fast moving Warehousing and Logistics Company requires the services of a Warehouse Controller focusing on the management and logistics of Warehousing and Event material.
Education and experience required:
ï‚· Matric with Mathematics/ relevant Degree / Diploma
ï‚· Minimum 10 years Relevant experience in Warehousing and Logistics
Requirements & Competencies
ï‚· Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
ï‚· High Computer literacy, understanding and proficiency and competency in Excel; Word; PowerPoint required
ï‚· Excellent written and verbal skills
ï‚· Excellent people and management skills
ï‚· Strong numeracy skills
ï‚· Must be prepared to work at unsociable times (Events related times)
ï‚· Must be prepared to travel nationally at unsociable times (Events Related times)
ï‚· Must have strong MS office skills including Excel
ï‚· Ability to multitask in stressful situations and absorb pressure in stressful situations
ï‚· In depth Geographic understanding of South Africa
ï‚· High sense of urgency
Key responsibility Areas:
ï‚· Provide visible and clear leadership for Operations and Logistics team and promote a culture of high performance and excellent client service
ï‚· Able to partner with internal teams and implement requirements from various internal departments
ï‚· Strict respect and adherence to Operational; Logistics and Finance process
ï‚· Strong process management and implementation skills
ï‚· Receive Client Events Calendar requirements and translate into actionable, understandable plans - i.e. delivering an end to end plan
ï‚· Engage with Regional Manager, National Head of Operations, General Manager, Client services; Logistics; Finance and HR to deliver and implement shift strategies that are cost effective and workable
ï‚· Maintenance of depot Risk assessment action plan
ï‚· Management of all on site utilities and security
ï‚· Implement the business strategic skills development plan in collaboration with HR
ï‚· Manage permanent and temporary staff in terms of performance and capacity
ï‚· Immediate / day to day Problem resolution
ï‚· Operational and Logistics staff Recruitment and training
ï‚· Implementation of relevant SOP''s Nationally to follow up and close off
