A well-established Logistics client is looking for an Operations Manager with Breakbulk/tipper/mining environment experience. At least 3-5 years experience as Operations Manager / Senior Transport position.

A well-established Logistics client is looking for an Operations Manager with Breakbulk/tipper/mining environment experience. At least 3-5 years experience as Operations Manager / Senior Transport position.

Salary: Market-related with benefits.

Starting date: Immediately / ASAP

Minimum Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Logistics / Transport Management
At least 3 - 5 years experience in senior transport position.
Experience working within a tipper/mining environment will be an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication
Able to the management of clients, dispatch teams, loading points, subcontractors, and drivers
Computer literacy – experience in working on transport operating systems, Word, PowerPoint, and above-average Excel skills

Key Duties:

Manage the logistics function and all related resources for single/multiple accounts
Ensure sound customer and client relations are established and maintained
Oversee the financial performance of the operation
Maintain safe and reliable fleet, equipment, and working environment
Manage and implement strategic and operational responsibilities
Maintain high service levels in the department
Manage the efficient scheduling and accurate execution of loads
KPI reporting and presenting
