Operations Manager- Airport Industria Cape Town

The Operations Manager at Cape Town will report directly to the Regional Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the  Cape Town delivery and collection operations.
• Manage fleet
• Maintenance schedules
• Optimal utilization (productivity)
• Route Planning

Staff

• Discipline
• Attendance
• Overtime
• Shift Planning

Daily Operations

• Resource planning
• Route scheduling
• Manage deliveries & Collections Assist with customer queries.
• Ensure that all systems driven admin remains up to date and complete
• Identify and built solutions to solve operational inefficiencies.

General

• General maintenance of the interior and exterior of the yard and building
• General cleanliness / neatness of the staff and vehicles
• Assist the risk department in investigations and/or identifying areas that could expose the business to risk and/or loss.
• Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a management position
• Previous experience in transport / logistics / courier essential
• Minimum Grade 12, but tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• Some qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Fully computer literate and Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
• Good geographical knowledge of South Africa
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English with a strong ability to deal with customers professionally
