SUMMARY:
Store operations manager

POSITION INFO:

Stable and fast growing company within the food Wholesale and Retail Sector / LSM Sector

 

              Company seeking an experienced

Store operations Manager from within the FMCG Retail Sector / Retail Food Wholesale Industry

 

 

Duties –

 

Manage the respective Floor Operations on a Daily basis to ensure maximum performance of floor operations to achieve strategic objections

 

Store Performance Management –

Achieve top line budget, gross profits, income rebates, settlements, promotions

Achieve agreed expenses, performance ratio’s, strategic cash and Credit ratio to sales, budgeted shrinkage lines, stock holdings

Stock management and Buying controls –

Ensure that store has full range of appropriate products – Retail and wholesale

Ensure store merchandising is according to rate of sale for all lines

Ensure stock card cycle sheets are in stock, ensure maintenance, stock purchased, placing orders, Develop accurate systems, ensure products are labeled, ensure promotions and pricing are in place, dealing with suppliers, negotiations, recorded income, management of stock returns, signing off purchase orders, return monitoring, ensure stock levels are maintained, ensure best sales deals, return expired stock, rebates, cost tracks and reports, weekly reports

Marketing

Build supplier relationships, identify lines, promotions, and grow market, arranging supplier activities

 

 

 

Daily Budgeting

Sales reports, Targets, Sales budgets, floor walks, set target auctioning, monitor Customers Buying

Loss Control

Ensure losses of all kinds are under control, ensure shrinkages are managed, managing staff, control variances, ensure temperature check are done, service departments stock takes, stock counts, Security checks

People management

Ensure staff understands expectations, lead by example, goal settings, motivate and lead, comply to labour Legislations, ensure compliance, Training of staff, measure productivity

Systems and procedures

Compliance, monitor sales, daily sales reports, discount reports, refunds and over rings reports

Stock takes

Stock takes and reviews, managing teams, administration control, preparations, ensure accuracy
