Operations Controller

SUMMARY:
A leader in its industry is currently seeking for an Operations Controller to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:

The successful applicant duties include but is not limited to:
-Book cargo with shipping lines or service providers
-Coordinate, control, arrange and monitor the collection/and deliveries and shipments of containers and manage this until final destination
-Control and manage import and export process from the time vessel berths to delivery to client
-Complete customs clearances, ensuring full compliance to any relevant regulations
-Manage documentation flow. This includes bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices and certificates of origin, licenses and permits
-The controller will book all movement of modes by seafreight, advise cut of time for SI and VGM, ascertain draft is correct and confirm bill
-Ensure that all documentation received tallies and is correct
-Prepare shipping line releases
-Inform transporter of shipment by sending through a delivery instruction
-Generate status report to client according to SOP or as agreed informing client of progress
-Monitor delivery with transporter and liaise with client
-Monitor those containers are uplifted and turned in within the prescribed time
-Ensure all 3rd party invoices are received and sent to Finance department
Minimum Requirements:
-2 years experience minimum in operations logistics role
