Operations Analytics Manager

POSITION INFO:

Our client based in PMB in the Logistics and Transport Industry is looking for a suitable Operations Analytics Manager in the same industry.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Postgraduate degree in a related field (NQF 7) is advantageous.
• Driver’s license

Knowledge and Skills

• MS Office, MS Outlook
• Microsoft Excel Advanced
• Basic accounting knowledge
• Work well with a team and alone
• Critical thinker
• Strong communication skills

Experience 

• 2+ years experience in a diagnostic/analytics or related role.
• 3+ years’ management experience in a logistics environment.

Key Performance Indicators:

• System Management
  • Ensure integrity of data on the Masterfile of the BI tool
  • Ensure integrity of data for the daily loads, including:
    • Driver details
    • Registration details
    • Revenue rates
    • Load statuses

Weekly OPCO Reports

• Prepare a budgeted forecast of the monthly loads and revenue
• Track the actual loads and revenue against the budget
• Extract the weekly driver mileages report
• Ensure the total fleet size is in accordance with the allocated fleet size
• Extract a subcontracted report
• Prepare a profit or loss analysis of the subcontracted loads

Weekly linehaul report

• Extract the revenue report, distance report, and wage report
• Prepare an in-depth profit or loss analysis per:
  • Driver
  • Fleet
  • Team leader
  • Customer
  • Calculate key statistics and critically analyse the data

Customer Services

• Measure & Improve Customer Service levels and Customer Satisfaction
• Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
• Leads solution development efforts that best address customer''s needs, coordinating with Linehaul Ops, X Dock/Secondary networks, Commercial & any other related support functions.
• Setting up and ensuring clear communication channels exist between, internal as well as external stakeholders.
• Manage all aspects of clients - ensure customer stats are prepared and updated as required.
• Conduct regular customer visits and provide updates and reports as required.
• Manage and maintain customer relationships as best as possible and as mandated by Exec.

KPIs

• KPI packs to be developed and maintained for all customers, this will include details such as a number of loads, routes, loading/offloading times, supply vs ordered, on-time supply, TAT, etc.
• KPI Packs to be standardised and relevant info shared daily, weekly & monthly. This will include info sharing at the weekly profit plan meetings.
• KPI''s to be maintained at targets defined by the customers. Plans to be put into place should KPI''s be off-target.
• Continuous improvement to improve the status of KPI''s
• Driver, Truck productivity reporting & improvement in collaboration with General Manager: National Operations

Billing & Delivery notes

• Assist finance in ensuring billing completeness verified against the contract.
• An accurate log of all relevant information to be recorded and provided to finance to bill standing time, overtime, cancellations, etc. by customer.
• Management of Delivery Notes team & process digitisation/optimisation.
