POSITION INFO:

As the Operational Accountant, your duties could include the following:
Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts for multiple entities
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and clear commentary on key variances
Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes
Ensure timely payments to suppliers and proactive debtor follow-ups to maintain healthy cash flow
Manage daily and monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting
Highlight risks and opportunities to the finance and operational teams
Liaise with payroll teams and shared services to ensure accurate and timeous salary processing, reconciliations and statutory submissions
Support annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
Ensure operational input is captured and aligned to group strategy
Monitor budget vs actual spend across departments, flag variances and engage with cost center managers to drive accountability
Ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation
Collaborate with brand and group finance to support intercompany reconciliations, reporting packs and audit preparation

Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Sage and Microsoft Office
Operationally minded
Excellent communication skills

Qualification:
Completed Accounting degree or diploma
Grade 12 (Matric)
