Operating Theatre Manager

SUMMARY:

A hospital in the south of Kwazulu Natal has a vacancy for a Theatre Manager that would like to join a friendly and patient focused hospital. The successful candidate will ensure a positive patient experience, through efficient management and competent staff within the unit.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure quality service are provided to Doctors, patients and staff members
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic patient environment by adhering to the Health & Safety standards in the unit
• Staff management and on-going in-service training
• Ensure all patient billing is accurately performed
• Ensure cost effective management of stock and equipment
• Build & maintain good relationships with the doctors and other departments

Requirements:

• Nursing Diploma or Degree and SANC registered
• Post basic Operating Theatre qualification (required)
• Diploma in Nursing Management (required)
• Minimum of 5 yrs nursing experience within Theatre
• Previous Unit Management experience required
• Sound knowledge of Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures
• Ability to display sound judgement in problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to work flexible hours when required
