POSITION INFO:

An independent day hospital is recruiting for an Operating Theatre Circulating Nurse as a member of the nursing clinical care team.

Requirements:

• Applicants must have proven experience of work in a surgical clinical environment. Opthalmology nursing experience will be an advantage.
• The applicant must be able to perform independently, within their scope of practice, in a fast-paced environment, whilst being enthusiastic about working in a close team. The incumbent will contribute to a positive patient experience through contributing to a conducive environment.

Participation in a high level of clinical care includes application of various theatre principles including:

• Scientific nursing principles and processes according to scope of practice
• infection prevention principles and protocols
• patient safety and risk management,
• planning and organising requirements for patient care
• care of equipment, instruments and therapeutic environment
• supporting the direct care team- Doctors, scrub Sister
