Onsite Systems Support Engineer

SUMMARY:
Large National Company is looking for an Onsite Senior Support Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

Managing local and remote branch IT services including but not limited to:

• Implementing, maintaining and supporting desktop and mobile computer related hardware
• Implementing, maintaining and supporting network infrastructure (switches and routers)
• Implementing, maintaining and supporting desktop PC operating systems and software
• Implementing, maintaining and supporting server and storage infrastructure
• Implementing, maintaining and supporting VMware products
• Implementing, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Core infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Exchange
• Providing End Users with hardware, desktop PC software and backend system support
• Supporting and maintaining VoIP systems
• Liaising with contractors and vendors to design, implement and maintain technology solutions

Education/ Experience:

• Grade 12 Minimum
• Relevant IT qualification
• Microsoft Administrator and System Architect role-based certifications advantageous
• Minimum 5 years IT related experience
• Related experience in the transport industry desired

The Network Administrator must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

• Computer hardware and software systems and desktop applications
• Computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Computer support and troubleshooting
• Dell, IBM, and Cisco server products
• Dell and EMC storage products
• VMware virtualization products
• Microsoft 365 application stack
• Microsoft Server Products
• Exchange 2013
• Backup and replication hardware and software systems

The Network Administrator must demonstrate the following skills:

• Self-management skills
• Ability to install and administer computer hardware and software
• Teambuilding
