Qualifications and Skills
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 10.
- 1 year practical experience in hospitality environment.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
- Literate-must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Adaptability to different working areas and conditions.
- Must be willing to work shifts (as and when required)
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome and seat guests upon arrival.
- Take guest orders accurately and promptly.
- Communicate guest orders effectively to the kitchen staff.
- Memorize the menu, including daily specials.
- Master the use of Point of Sale (POS) System.
- Capture and process orders correctly using the POS system.
- Be hands-on and action all resources and ensure arrangements are in place and the correct waitering items are available for the shift.
- Ensure that the health and safety rules are always adhered to.
