Office Automation - New Business Sales Rep

SUMMARY:
The New Business Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the office automation sector. The successful candidate will generate new leads, conduct client consultations, identify office technology requirements and provide tailored solutions, while achieving agreed sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the allocated territory.
• Prospect for new clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, email campaigns and face-to-face visits.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline of prospective business clients.
• Conduct client visits and needs assessments to understand their office automation requirements.
• Promote and sell office automation solutions, including:
• Multifunctional printers and photocopiers
• Printers and scanners
• Printing and document management solutions
• Managed print services
• Consumables and related products
• Service and maintenance contracts
• Document workflow and digital solutions
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals and solution presentations.
• Identify opportunities to replace or upgrade existing office equipment.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Follow up on quotations and proposals and close new business.
• Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Maintain accurate client and prospect information on the company's CRM system.
• Keep up to date with competitor offerings, market trends and new technology.
• Work closely with internal sales, technical and administration teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Ensure that all customer requirements are communicated accurately to the relevant internal departments.
• Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and industry-related functions where required.
• Provide regular sales activity and pipeline reports to management.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 / Matric required.
• A relevant Sales, Marketing or Business qualification would be advantageous.
• 2–5 years' proven sales experience within the office automation industry.
• Previous experience selling copiers, printers, multifunctional devices, managed print solutions or related office technology is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in new business development and cold calling.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets.
• Existing business contacts/network within the local market would be advantageous.
• Experience working with B2B clients and corporate accounts.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Own reliable vehicle required.
• Willingness to travel to prospective and existing clients.
