SUMMARY:
A fine Liquor Merchant is looking for an Off Trade Representative for the North West Province

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a bright, organised, and charismatic young go-getter, who has a good understanding of the Off Trade Liquor Channel but also will be able to tackle a little bit of On-Premise (formal and informal markets). 
We are looking for an individual with experience in the alcohol industry (spirits preferably) and someone who will enjoy working in a small and nimble, fun but hard-working environment. 

The individual would be responsible for looking after a specific group of trade customers within a defined geographical area (North West Province). 
The group of customers are to be visited regularly as the individual endeavours to secure listings of the Company portfolio within any given outlet. 
The success of the brands within the relevant channel is largely determined by their availability in retail outlets and their accessibility to consumers. 

Job Holder''s Main Responsibilities: 

Build, service and maintain a base of customers within the North West region
This would include, but is not restricted to, Rustenburg, Klerksdorp, Potchefstroom, Magaliesburg, Hartbeespoort, Marikana, Ga-Rankuwa, Lichtenburg, Mahikeng, Zeerust and North West surrounds
The call route and frequency of visit to all customers within your base will be agreed on by the individual and their line manager
100% of customers to be covered within required timeline
The territory can be subject to change to ensure time in trade is optimized or if a business need/ requirement is identified
Required to make daily use of Skynamo sales system
Clear understanding of customer segmentation, ensuring brand fit to customer is realised
Quarterly objectives are the key focus areas to ensure effective/productive time is spent in all calls
Be assertive in driving and securing listings of the portfolio brands with the aim being the achievement of the quarterly and yearly objectives
Secure back of bar visibility and in menu presence for listed brands ensuring exposure, awareness and brand health is optimized in any given outlet
Effectively deploy all given brand POS in trade thus maximizing visibility
Maximize potential of trade partners by building solid relationships
Actively merchandise products, increasing visibility and product on shelf
Negotiate & confirm promotions/demos in your outlets
Keep all sales-related administration updated
There will be a degree of product tastings that you would facilitate as well as participation and set up of events 

Qualifications and Experience 
Completed Matric or equivalent accredited by SAQA.
Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years’ experience within the liquor industry
Have a clear understanding and working knowledge of the Off-trade liquor channel
Have a good understanding of the formal and informal On-trade channel
Strong negotiation skills & business acumen
Own reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license
Ideally to be based in Rustenburg
