SUMMARY:
A Freight Forwarding Company is seeking an Ocean Freight Imports / Cross Trade Controller to join their team

POSITION INFO:

Receive estimate

Check ocean charges

Request rates from origin, process estimates for customer, including dangerous goods

Send estimate to customer

Request SLI from customer

Arrange collection with origin station

Instruct origin to book with co loader

Register shipment

Request commercial invoice

Quality check ETA provided by origin

Send status reports

Send pre-alerts

Invoice shipment

Handle queries

Coordinate movement of cargo

Confirm transport order

Ensure customs clearances are followed up with customer

Ensure release is taken from co-loader

Support customer service team
