SUMMARY:
Freight Forwarding Company in JHB on the Eastrand is looking for an OceanFreight Import Forwarding Controller, minimum of 5 years experience in ocean freight import forwarding, Matric and Cargowise experience essential, must have knowledge in the full function of the import forwarding duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Liaise with overseas agents / suppliers without delay and in accordance with the client’s requirements.
- Ensure agents book cargo with preferred shipping lines and NVOCC
- Coordinate the freight movement with client– (status reports)
- Ensure Company’s service performance objectives are achieved
- Ensure client satisfaction
- Contribute to the effectiveness of the department
- Dealing with clients /sea carriers/ NVOCC agents
- Good all-round understanding of import forwarding
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is timeously and accurately received.
- Checking documents and invoices for accuracy.
- Processing of all shipments on Cargowise
- Liaise with all third party service providers with regards to arrival notification /freight /de-grouping invoices
- ISO requirements to be adhered
