POSITION INFO:

Internship – Operational Health and Safety

Main purpose of the job

ü  Internship opportunity for suitably qualified candidates to gain experience in the field of Operational Health and Safety, with a global leader.

Responsibilities and Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

ü  Provides an opportunity to use your OHS qualification, within an environment that places a premium on safety in the workplace

ü  Assist in ensuring compliance with all local and global legislation, practices & polices

ü  Assist in developing, implementing & constantly improving OHS plans

Qualifications and Experience

ü  Must have completed matric (Grade 12)

ü  Diploma/Degree/Relevant Qualification in Safety

ü  Previous working experience in the field will be advantageous

ü  Health, Safety and Environmental knowledge will be advantageous

ü  Knowledge on ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO 9001 will be an advantageous

ü  Knowledge of local legal / regulatory / governmental requirements (OHS Act / Mine Act) etc
