Global Market Leader in high performance steel industry who deliver customized customer specific solutions seek an Electrical overhead traveling crane Operator to ensure the efficient operation of EOT Crane with minimum downtime. Completion of High school or ITI. Minimum 5 years of work experience

 

Accountabilities:

 

• Overhead crane operators ensure safe movement as well as safe loading and unloading of large or bulky equipment’s with the use of overhead cranes. Oftentimes, responsible in leading entire team which participates in the moving such as spotters and flaggers.
• Operating stationary or traveling overhead crane to move, lift and position loads which includes Liquid steel, products, equipment, machinery and solid or heavy materials, with the aid of hoisting attachments like sling, electromagnet, hook or bucket. Observing proper load hook-up and determine load safety.
• Manipulating or depress overhead crane controls which include levers, pedals and buttons in order to regulate direction and speed of hoist and crane movement based on verbal, written and signal instructions.
• Cleaning Operators cabin and maintain hoisting and crane mechanism and inspect crane for any defective parts and notify their supervisor about the malfunctions and defects
• Operating Crane Carefully while transferring tundish full of liquid steel from casting platform to tundish transfer car
• Working at heights
• Operating EOT efficiently to complete the work within target time
• Decide to lift or not lift the material if safety standards are not met which may cause accident
