OPS ASSISTANT / PLANNER

SUMMARY:
A Logistics company situated in NEW GERMANY, PINETOWN (KZN) requires an OPS ASSISTANT / PLANNER to commence ASAP

POSITION INFO:

The applicant’s main role will be scheduling and planning deliveries and collections for delivery vehicles.

• Making sure goods are delivered and collected in time by keeping in touch with drivers.
• Long distance vehicles are loaded according to schedules and leave at a reasonable time.
• Updating clients/manager if there any delays with collections/deliveries.
• Keeping reports of daily work to handover to following person on shift.

Requirements:

1. Should be able to work well under pressure.
2. Should be able to work without constant supervision.
3. Must have logistics background in similar role with FMCG or cold storage experience.
4. Must have matriculated.
5. Must have computer experience in word, excel, email.
6. Must reside in Pinetown or surrounding area.
7. Must have own reliable transport and valid licence.
8. Must be able to work shifts. (+- 9 hour shifts)
9. Take lead and makes sure things are done according to company policy.
10. Honest and reliable and have integrity.
11. Have knowledge of KwaZulu Natal routes and regions.
12. Should be able to communicate with good grammar and telephone etiquette.
13. Work well with others.
14. Be able to drive a forklift and have a licence (not a problem if the applicant doesn’t have as we will send them for training).

Remuneration:

• R10 000 per month, plus overtime
• Pension fund
