SUMMARY:
This is a great opportunity to grow more experience in designing and running commercial and industrial Solar PV projects.
POSITION INFO:
Assist Project Management team with commissioning of renewable energy plants
Draw up budgets for proposed project repairs
Create detailed drawings for information the technicians needing to make repairs and rectifications
Accurately monitor system performance and reasons for under-performance
Assist in improving reporting and monitoring functionality of the Operation and Maintenance Department
Skills & Experience:
Good knowledge of the IT systems that underpin renewable energy plants and how to navigate them and update them
Proficient knowledge on PV solar systems (grid-and off-grid), storage systems, generators and hot water systems
Good programming skills, specifically for big data and automation of reports
Excellent organizational, time management, leadership and decision making skills
Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as Solar PV Engineer in the operations and maintenance of commercial and industrial projects
Qualification:
BSc/BEng: Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
Professional Registration (Advantageous)
Must have valid driver’s license
